What are skateboard decks/Art of Board tiles made from?
7-ply maple wood

Can you use Art of Board tiles in high moisture areas?
Art of Board tiles may be used for kitchens, bathrooms or countertops when a clear coat sealant is applied.  Our tiles are not recommended for use in showers.

How durable are Art of Board tiles?
Very strong and durable.

Have Art of Board tiles been flame tested?
Yes, Art of Board tiles have been rated safe for interior use and have a B rating.

How are Art of Board tiles sold?
On mesh mount, by the square foot.

How are Art of Board tiles applied/installed?
Art of Board tiles are applied using a sand grout and wiped clean similar to any other tile installation.

Do you peel the grip tape off every deck?
No. We embrace the grip tape as an integral part of the end product thought it does not show in the design.

Where can I buy Art of Board merchandise?
Visit our online store for everything from accessories to T-shirts.

Do you use new skateboard decks in your designs?
Never.  We won’t cut a deck that can still be used.  If we receive any, we donate them to kids who need them.

How much of the deck is used in Art of Board’s designs?
We’re proud to say that we use every inch of the deck so there is zero waste.
